Leadership Delta

The GE Leadership Delta planning committee is now accepting applications for the Leadership DELTA class of 2008-2009.  We are already underway planning the 2008 Leadership DELTA National Conference and are more excited than ever at all it will offer to the participants this year.  It is imperative that all candidates selected for the class be able to attend the conference or the application will not be accepted.

Call to Action:  We need you to identify Sorors who meet the qualifications of the Leadership DELTA program and to make sure they are aware of the availability of the application and the criteria they must meet to be considered.  We are accepting applications via electronic submittal at the Leadership DELTA website.

For the 2007-2008 class, half of the participants (18 out of 36) were members of the Southwest Region.  We would like to see the same representation from all of the Regions!  Please spread the word.  Also, look forward to the 2007-2008 Class graduation at this year's National Conference in Orlando.

For more information about Leadership DELTA or to apply, please visit the website at http://www.leadershipdelta.org.

"THE UNTOLD STORY OF EMMETT LOUIS TILL"

This documentary film is history all Americans should know.  You may purchase this educational film on line at www.Emmetttillstory.com, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com or at the local Wal-Mart store.

On April 27, 2004 our National Executive Board sent a Resolution to General John Ashcroft asking him to order a federal investigation of  the murder of Emmett Till.  The case was reopened  in part because of the new information that this author found during his research, and as we say, because of the strong resolution that came from the National Executive Board of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
